Application Guidelines

The charity does not give to other charities or trusts.

Child must be 18 years old or under at the time of application and resident in Surrey.

An application will be considered for an individual child requesting a specific item, providing it is solely of benefit to the child with the disability. Scampps is unable to give to a general fundraising campaign for that individual child.

Grants will not be awarded if funding from State sources is available.

Applications may be made anonymously.

The donation must make a significant difference to the child’s life.

If the applicant has helped their situation by raising funds etc., this may help the application, especially when large sums of money are required.

The donation must be used for a specific item and not given as a general donation when dealing with individual cases, e.g. wheelchair or treatment.

Receipts/invoices for payment to be made are required. SCAMPPS will pay all monies direct, rather than into other funds/collections.

If the funds have been raised, copies of bank statements showing these funds may be required.

The application form must be completed truthfully and signed.

Proof/confirmation of the child’s situation (in written form) from a professional body will be required e.g. doctor/consultant, preferably enclosed with the application.

A visit or several visits by a professional advisor to the charity may be required.

Funding is currently unavailable for:

• Building works, fixtures and fittings, gardening.
• Respite care
• Dolphin therapy/Faith healing
• PCs or laptops, unless specifically designed for those with special needs
• Motor vehicle purchase/adaptations
• Equipment repair or maintenance
• Holidays

SCAMPPS retain the option of reclaiming equipment bought for individuals.

SCAMPPS will consider bids in excess of £50.
