Funding Application

The finance committee meet every three months to discuss applications for funding and to allocate additional monies to meet the 'wish lists' of our senior therapists at JOG. Aside from supporting JOG, and subsidising SCAMPPS family events, we are also here to support our members as individuals. We may consider supporting: a piece of specialist equipment for your child e.g. a standing frame; software to enable you to make resources for your child; software to help your child develop a specific skill, or range of skills; educational resources to support their development; hardware to enable your child to access a computer (e.g. switches); toys key to specific development. We may also consider helping individuals with financial needs to attend JOG (for example if someone was without transport) and SCAMPPS events.

Who do we support?
a) Our local Junior Opportunity Group (JOG) run by the NHS to provide additional equipment not currently funded by the NHS such as additional therapy assessment kits; or replica equipment to be used at home.
b) Children who are attending or who have attended JOG in the past who might need specific equipment which meets our eligibility requirements for funding (see how to apply below)
c) Other children with special needs in Surrey who have their application approved by a paediatrician, OT, SaLT, Physiotherapist etc.
d) Arranging and subsidising family social events to allow individuals to chat and play.

For what?
The purchase of equipment for JOG is done in response to specific requests from our Senior Therapists. This ensures that they get what they really need and not just what we think they want! Individuals may apply for financial support towards a variety of things. These may be specialist equipment, specific toys, software. We do not fund adaptations to the home or building works.
